Step-by-step guide to getting verified

Whiles signing up for the first time on Rem, you will automatically be guided start your KYC verification process. If you skip the process, then do the following:

1. Log In To Your Rem Account: Start by logging in to your Rem app. If you don’t have an account yet, sign up and join our community!
2. Go to Account: Once logged in, head over to the 'Account' section found at the bottom-right corner of the navigation bar.
3. Begin The Process: Navigate to the ID Verifications & Limits button and tap it. Now tap "Increase Transaction Limit". Read the information available carefully and tab the "Increase Limit" button when ready to begin.
4. Choose Your Citizenship: Select your country of origin. We currently support Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. We're working to expand to other jurisdictions soon.
5. Choose Your ID Type: We support multiple ID types from different countries, choose which you'd like to use. For Ghanaians, we recommend your ECOWAS card, and for Nigerians we recommend your BVN.
6. Provide Basic Personal Information: Enter essential details like your full name, date of birth, and address. Ensure all information matches your official documents to avoid discrepancies.
7. Upload Your Proof of Identity: Snap a clear photo or upload a scanned image of your government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver's license, or national ID. Make sure all details, like your photo and name, are legible.
8. Take a Selfie (If Prompted): Depending on the verification requirements, you may need to capture a real-time selfie. Ensure you’re in a well-lit space and your face is clearly visible, matching the photo in your ID.
9. Await Verification: Once all documents are uploaded, submit and await feedback. Our dedicated team reviews submissions for accuracy and security. This process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on the volume of requests.
10. Verification Status Notification: You'll receive a notification or email update about your verification status. If there are any issues, we'll guide you on the corrective measures to take.
11. Dive Deeper into Rem!: You don't have to wait to be verified to explore and start using Rem. Upon successful verification, you can now explore all thetransact with higher limits, and enjoy a seamless experience!
